i have started the process of building a raid array (LSI 9260-4i and Intel RES2SV240) I currently have 8 2tb seagate 7200 rpm drives in a RAID 6 array.

i have since purchased 2 more of the same drives, do i have to rebuild it again after the new drives go in or can i add them and im good to go??

btw how do i add them??

not sure how it works on your card, I can't imagine it being entirely different but there should be an option to expand the raid (add more drives) it does take time to migrate the new drives into the mix though.
no need to restart the raid from scratch.

i think i may just get all the drives i need to fill the case and then rebuild it.
