Added more memory- now having OC stability problems

All the specs for my rig are below in my sig. My computer has been stable until now- I just bought a stick of 512mb, Geil PC4000 and now my OC isn't stable at all. I figured since the memory I had in there already was slower than the Geil, I should just be able to stick the Geil in and not have any problems, since it would just run at the slower speed of the Kingston. Well, not the case. I didn't make any changes to my OC but when I installed the Geil memory, I'm having stability issues. Am I gonna have to go thru the whole step-by-step Oc process again??? Or is there a more simple solution?
 
Using two different sticks of ram is never really "recommended" but usually works fine.

The main issue is whenever you fill another dimm on a motherboard it taxes the memory controller a bit more. On non dual channel boards running 2 sticks versus one gives serious hits on memory overclocks...especially on a64 boards. My friend has 2x512 pc3200 corsair sticks that will not run at 200 no matter what timings on his a64 system. Now when one stick is used it works just fine but I had to lower his divider to use a 166 bus when using both sticks to get a stable system.

Try loosening your timings a bit at first and if that doesn't work try lowering your bus.
 
when you OC its trying to oc both the ram at the same speed. the 3200 can not oc as well as the 4000 which is why u are having stability issues. its best to have the same types of ram to OC
 
I didn't think two different types of memory would be that big of a deal. I knew it wasn't the optimal choice, but I got a good price on the Geil. As I said, I didn't make any changes to the oc and my Kingston memory was running at 213mhz, which I figured the Geil would handle quite easily.
 
I've tried upping the voltage but it hasn't helped. I think I'm gonna try overclocking with just the Geil memory in there and see how far I can get with it. Then I'll stick both of them back in.
