Add/Remove programs won't open

I recently reinstalled win2k on my laptop. It is running SP4.

I noticed a few days ago that add/remove programs wouldn't open, but I attributed it to needing to restart. I forgot about the program I was going to uninstall, and didn't think about it anymore. Then, today, I again tried to oped add/remove programs, and it won't work.

If I go into task manager, I can see the add/remove process running for every time I try to open it. Ending all those processes and trying to open it again does nothing.

WTF? Anybody know how to fix this problem?

OK, I found a solution, so if you have this problem, try this:

Start a command session by going to Start, Run and typing
cmd
Enter each of the following commands (click OK to each confirmation that appears):
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll -i
regsvr32 shell32.dll -i
Close the command session by typing
exit

Then start add/remove from control panel -mine worked right away
