What setting in game do I use if I'm using adaptive vsync in my nV control panel?

Do I set vsync to on or off?

Thanks!

Sometimes it hasn't worked for me and all it required is closing the game, checking the NCP settings, and then making sure Vsync is off in game. Works just fine.

I still get plenty of tearing...in BF3 and Skyrim anyway, Hopefully down the line Adaptive Vsync will become more effective with driver updates

You can get tearing below the refresh rate also, the only way to completely eliminate it is to run Vsync on - but then you have to deal with the half refresh frame rate issue (which adaptive Vsync was designed to avoid). It's all about trade-offs.

I tested adaptive vsync on my 560Ti in BF3 for the past few days and am quite enjoying it. It works as intended and has reduced tearing significantly for my setup (which would bounce around 45-80fps depending on the situation). Not 100% sure on input lag yet though.

does ATI have anything like this? i want this feature on my 6870
