I was unfamiliar with PFC (Power Factor Correction) and was looking at UPS units on Newegg when one of the reviews got my attention. It was a UPS I already owned and the guy that reviewed it complained that PFC was not supported with the particular unit and he returned it for one that did.
I have an Antec SG-850 and according the the specs currently listed it is a PFC PSU. Now I am wondering if I have been damaging my PSU and possibly my entire PC by using this UPS. As much as I hate to buy a new UPS that is $200+ when I already own one that I paid almost that much for I will if it needs to be done.
I am hoping someone more knowledgeable than myself can give me an idea of how much of an issue this is and if I need to be ordering a new PSU ASAP. Thanks.
