Hi

I have successfully setup my file server running ESXi 5 as the master OS, passing the controller through using DirectPath I/O to a ubuntu 10.04.4 x64 VM

Code:
root@nas:/usr/StorMan# /usr/StorMan/arcconf getconfig 1

As I use a MacBook and the GUI only works on windows I have a VM running on the Mac inside VMFusion (Windows 7 Pro) with Adaptec Storage manager installed.

I can connect to the host no problem at all, it detects all 8 drives connected too
The only option I seem to have enabled is the ability to create a hot spare out of one of the disks.

As you can see by the attached image, I cant create anything, change any settings etc.

All I can think is that I logged in using my username and not root, but I can't login as root!

Am I missing something?!

Just noticed the HDS5C3030ALA630 drives are showing up as 2TB not 3TB too!

I would have thought that I would be able to configure the controller at least though?

Enabled them, root user was disabled, so enabled that and gained access.
