Anyone out there run either an Adaptec 5 series or 6 series such as the 54/5805 or 64/6805 sas controllers?
I am thinking about using their SSD caching technology called MAX IQ. I am very confident it will absolutely blow the doors off of Intel Z68 caching performance.
I have an Adaptec 6805 SAS controller with backup write caching module. So its pretty damn uber for a $600.00 card.
I'd go SSD all the way but they cost too damn much and I want to still use my 4 WD black edition 1TB disk. I am thinking of a 64GB ssd for the caching.
Thanks!
