adaptec 2405 + xen

i thought i had read a couple places (including the HCL) that the 2405 was supported in xen. i seem to be having issues loading it. i've tried some of the rpms on the adaptec site, but nothing seems to have helped. anybody used this combo before and could shed some insight? i'm using xenserver 5.6, latest updates, etc. seemed like a nice card cause both xen and esxi supported it apparently, and with a firmware update it supports 3TB drives.
 
nevermind, apparently you have to have all your storage attached before installation.. went through installation again and sure enough it listed my test raid.
