can anyone recommend a good free adblocker from the playstore that works well and works on youtube ?

there seem to be a bunch and am not sure which to try on my phone

Not sure if this kind of thing is allowed around here, I could have sworn there was a specific rule that said no discussion of ad blockers/blocking so ya might want to consider that (the rules is the rules). Having said that I'll say DNS66 and Blokada and then say adieu and hope I'm still a member tomorrow. :D

Unless you have a VPN that does ad-blocking, the best you are going to be able to do is this:

https://block-this.com/

There are no good ad-blockers in the play store because Google ripped them all out.

Have you used blokada? It have proper DNS and VPN auto-settings.. haven't found anything better yet.

AdGuard, Blokada, OR, if you have a Samsung device with Knox, AdHell 3. AdHell is by far the best of the bunch, but it's Samsung only.

so i tried blokada today at lunch on youtube, still getting ads at beginning on most videos, i used open DNS, now should i try the free VPN deal ?

thanks for the advice so far
