Just got from QuakeCon and it was a blast! On the trip up there, my co-worker and I got to talking about Folding@home. He said he had a friend that works for the American Cancer Society. He was telling me that he's one of those guys that lives and breathes his work. He truly has a mission and loves what he does. The ACS guy told my bud that the Folding projects have really helped in their research. He said they're working on medicines that are showing very promising results.

So for all those that fold and never hear of any feedback consider this an update for your diligence. Keep on folding! :cool:


 
It truly is great to know that this information is being used, and that even though what we do is small in scope to the other parts of the science, that they've actually been able to make some headway into beating it completely.
