Greetings most exalted ones...

After spending some time on Feeding Frenzy I decided to lap the sides of my AC blocks for some bling bling. :D Now I would like it so they don't oxidize and keep looking pristine shiny after I install it. I bought some stuff made by GC called Acrylic Cement (I think it's used in circuit board repair). Anyway I have been thinking of painting it on the sides of the block. My only concern is how much heat normally gets radiated off the sides of the water block. Think it's negligible? Ideas?

It's negligible, coating the blocks won't make a difference. Test that stuff on something else first though, to make sure you can get a nice smooth finish.

You can actually get water based clear protective products to paint on that work pretty well.

On the other hand realizing that as a rule you tend to be over the top from time to time might I suggest anodizing, in the color of your choice, or even powder coating, again in the color of your choice?

Either finish is permanent and quite attractive with plenty of "Bling Factor" ;) :D

Thanks for the replies. :) Over the top? Not me...not never. ;) I was thinking of gold plating, but I don't know if they could do just the sides without touching the bottom or inside. And the cost factor might be prohibitive. That was why I was thinking of the acrylic cement. One thing for sure is that when I open the bottle the big fan comes on as that stuff will get you seriously loaded.
