Acronis Management Cosole recommendation

Hello I'm new to disaster recovery and bought Acronis to back up my SBS and 20 workstations. My question is that I want to reduce the load on the server and was thinking of buying a PC to install the management console and have all of the backups stored on that PC what would you recommend for this application? I want to keep 7 days worth of nightly backups for each drive that refreshes every week. Is 7 days long enough? How are you managing your backups? How long do you keep a backup before you delete it?

i archive backups for a year, then take a full base image and archive on yearly basis for 7 years, or whatever is needed for compliance.
