Anybody have any reccomendations for where to find harddrive acoustic management software?

I have 2 seagate sata drives internall, and the same seagate drive only pata in an external enclosure.

Seagate no longer offers their program because I guess they didn't actually have the patent on the technology. I know there are other programs out there, but I can't seem to find them. Im trying to isolate the noise in my system. It kinda sounds like harddrives, but I also suspect a bad fan bearing on my video card. Plus I just want my system to be dead quiet.

So, anybody have the old seagate utility, know where to find it, or know another program that works?

simply disconnect the drives and boot to a floppy disk utility to isolate that
as far as after market HDD acoustical software
sorry nothing Im aware of
 
There are after market apps actually, like Doc's AAM, but it doesn't seem to have been updated in awhile, so no SATA support. I ended up isolating the one noise as the video card, but Im still curious. I know seagate drive support AAM, and their utility wasn't pulled long ago at all. I'm hoping that maybe somebody has a copy of it laying around somewhere.
 
Seagate doesn't even use the accoustic management anymore, and they haven't for quite a while, they've got their drives down that quiet without the older workarounds. I used their tool on my 60 GB drive and it didn't even make any noticable difference between the quietest setting and the best performance setting, so even if you did use it, it makes hardly any difference.

You should try isolating the problem by better methods of unplugging stuff to figure this one out :)
