So.. I got lucky this morning, after my computer randomly froze up a few times, failed to post, you know, the usual stuff that happens when you don't know what's going on. It kept on resetting the memory settings in the bios (it changed the ratio from 3:2 to SPD = 1:1 and the memory timings from 2-2-2-5 to SPD = 2.5-3-3-8) and then failing to post when I corrected it. Mind you, this system has been perfectly stable for over a year.

So getting upset I decided to take things apart and have a peek. When I pulled the waterblock off, to my surprise, I found alot more moisture than I had expected. As I pulled the cpu out and checked it over, I noticed the blue tint, the same blue tint that my water has. Yipes! Turns out my waterblock has/had a leak in it. Luckily it looks like everything is working now, as I just happened to have an extra on hand. (MCW-5000PT w/ 226W pelt)

Whew. Thanks to my computer Guardian Angel for this morning. I'm sure it could have been much worse!

what brand block leaked?

the MCW 5000 is a Swiftech block but just because his block leaked doesn't mean every Swiftech block leaks, if you were heading in the "Swiftech sucks" direction

And yea, you got REALLY lucky
:p
