*Awaiting 2GB OCZ 1066Mhz 1-5 business days

This is my first time to actually overclock, I was amazed with how simple overclocking actually is thanks to an arcticle from IGN made specifically for 680i boards.

Started at 1066Mhz going up to 1466Mhz in 40 min increments between reboots.

Next I tried 1506Mhz (Safe Mode Message!) In windows the CPU shows 2.40Ghz
Then I tried 1476Mhz (Safe Mode Message!) In windows the CPU shows 2.40Ghz

Change back to 1466Mhz and the Safe mode message disappears

I was able to get from 2.40Ghz up to 3300.1Ghz with a core temp of 43c (900Mhz ;) :D )

Is there anyway to get past that SAFE mode error which resets my speed for windows?

Regardless of what voltage your memory is rated at I would boost it up to 2.0 to 2.1 volts. All DDR2 that I've used likes this as a minimum. Good Micron chips can go even higher.

If that doesn't cure things then look at raising the northbridge voltage. Something simple like that is holding you back.

I tried upping the voltage as suggested, but I still can't break thru the 1466 QDR barrier. I took images this time around so you can see exactly what I am seeing. For the purpose of following next instructions I have set everything back auto voltages.

The message I get: :(

I tried using ntune earlier just to see if I could get a better overclock out of this software. Here is what ntune gave me after 3 hours of letting it work its magic. It barely touched the cpu, but it did tons of work on the SPP and MCP for an unknown reason it concentrated on AGP/PCIe rather than overall system speed.
