other than astetics (looks) is there any difference between the two functionally?

acetal (delrin) is generally stronger, more abrasion resistant, very chemical resistant, very low water absorbsion. it is very prone to thermal expansion and is sensitive to chlorine and other oxidizers.

plexiglass is more prone to fracture under high stress or impact. its softer and more easily scratched or chipped. it has generally poor chemical resistance, but good environmental resistance (good for outdoor use) and it has a much lower coefficient of thermal expansion. it is generally cheaper then acetal.
 
the two are so different, i'm wondering why you would be debating between them--what are you using this for?
