I was thinking of purchasing the Acer G24 as a gaming monitor. I currently have a 22" Samsung 226BW, if anyone remembers those from a couple years back. I game alot so I was thinking the Acer G24 would be a good buy.
It has the glossy screen, high contrast. They say it makes games really look nice.
The problem is I've been reading many negatives reviews about this monitor on newegg. They say it light bleeds too much around the edges, my 226BW does also and doesn't bother me. Someone also said on a newegg review, when you play games and enter a dark area, you just have to guess what is going on because there's no differentiation between black and gray and other dark colors, and you cant see anything on the edges of the monitor.
Is this true, is the monitor too bright where it washes out the colors? Should I just stick with my 22" Samsung.
