Acer 24" vs 2405

Dell seems to have more input options and PiP if those are important to you. Otherwise if you just game, then the Acer might be a better choice, but I haven't read anything about the Acer....

I dunno

i might exchange my 2405 for that

Why?

All the Acer 24" has is a VGA input. The 2405 has so many more inputs (DVI, RCA Video, Component, VGA) plus it has pip and all other goodies.

I'm not sure i trust "trustedreviews", since they claim...

" For a monitor that’s capable of 1,920 x 1,200 the lack of DVI is something of a shock, especially as you’d want to maximise quality at this relatively high resolution. Again this compares very poorly with the Dell, which sports, D-Sub, DVI (HDCP compliant), composite, S-Video, and Component. The Dell even shows off with side-mounted card reader slots."

I'm not sure which Dell monitor they are talking about, as the 2405 isn't HDCP compliant, and the 3007 dosen't have the extra inputs.

From looking around, apparantly, there is a AL2416W that only has the D-sub input, and then there is a AL2416WD that has D-sub, as well as DVI. Both are in stock at various stores, but the AL2416WD isn't listed on Acers site.

Ok from acers own website(not some review site)
24" wide-screen TFT LCD, 1920 x 1200 native resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178°/178° horizontal/vertical viewing angles, VGA and DVI-D connectors, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 6ms gray-to-gray response time, silver color

The unit does have vga and dvi on it. Personaly I would go with the dell so I could hook my game systems into it but the acer seems to be a real nice monitor. If you don't think you will ever use it other then a computer monitor then go for it.
