Right now I'm on an old crappy 17" CRT that maxes out at 1280x1024 @ 60Hz, so an upgrade would be nice. I've been looking into LCDs just because I'm tired of the bulkiness of CRTs. Anybody know anything about this moniter? I don't need anything fancy. This one stood out because of its 12ms response time and DVI connector. Any opinions?
 
me and my friends have 5 of those monitors and they are really good. if you are on a budget, then this is one of the best options out there.
 
Hate to bump an old thread, but thought I'd throw out my opinion..

Just got this screen about a month ago and love it. Inexpensive and it looks great. No dead pixels. Only complaint is that the built-in speakers sound like crap.

I plan on picking up another for a dual setup very soon..
 
for a budget, those are very good, heard good things about their performance. Bare in mind that it is still only 1280 x 1024 though which you make a point of saying is a reason for ditching your CRT
