Accurate temp core readings

I need a good temp reader for the entire system.... looking for core temps not what speedfan reads as i know it can be off....


please let me know

all of them read the correct core temp sensor.. problem is none of them are "accurate" they are some what accurate within 1-5C.. but for intel realtemps your best option and for AMD coretemp is your best option.. and for full system temps speedfan is the best option for most light weight temp program..

I've run a few different programs, on my i5 they all read very different temperatures when the core temps are low (one could say 20C and another say 30C). But once things heat up above 40C they are all within 2-3C of each other.

I'm a big fan of Open Hardware Monitor. On all 4 of my PCs, the Core sensor reads the same as RealTemp or CoreTemp, but also has a lot more useful information plus graphing options.

yeah its a problem all intel processors have had since the C2D processors.. the idle temps are worthless and anything under 50C is inaccurate as heck.. theres a few posts over on realtemps forum from the devs talking about it.. i may try finding them later.. but from what i remember the i3/i5/i7 are even more inaccurate then the C2Q 45nm processors..
