Hi, I need your help guys. I tried searching for question related to it on this board, and nothing came up. This is sort of noobie question, so don’t flame me.

Can I access my WinXP NTFS (bootable drive) with the second computer? My OS on the drive is corrupted. I want to get some files in My Document and desktop folder. I thought I might have a problem accessing it since the NTFS boot partition is secure.
 
Provided your second computer can read NTFS partitions (i.e. XP or 2k) you shouldn't have any problem.

You might run across an issue with security when try to get at the files in the Documents and Settings folder because, as you said, those tend to be a little more secure. However, if you have admin rights on the second machine (or can get them) you should be able to right-click on any folder and "take ownership" of it and thus get anything you need. You may need to disable simple file-sharing to do this.

 
I hope it will work. I have an external casing that I could mount an IDE drive to USB.
