Access is denied when trying to Delete

Trying to delete a user's Documents and Settings from an old, since deleted install, but when I try to it gives me the access is denied message. It lets me take 'read only' off in properties, only to throw it directly back on when I close the window. How can I get this taken care of?

Google a program called Killbox.

Tells me it cannot delete the file : /

Open a command prompt and browse to the directory you want to delete.

Open up task manager, shut down explorer.exe, then go back to the command prompt.
Delete teh directory.
Go back to task manager and run explorer.exe

That should solve the problem. At least, it's always worked for me, YMMV.

It's not an invalid file...it's a permissions issue...hence the "access denied" message.

but "Unlocker" is a great app for this issue.
