Not sure this is the right forum but...

I need to access HFS/APFS (mac) formatted external/flash/thumb/etc. drives. I only need read-only access, and to be able to transfer files to a Windows 10 machine.

Paid solution is fine, no need for freeware/open source. I have found the following products:

Mac Drive
Paragon HFS+ and APFS+ for Windows
Transmac

I have seen some horror stories with Mac Drive and Paragon, but they are also rather old...

Ideally I would like something "transparent" (i.e. you plug the drive and it shows directly in explorer, and you can eject it from usb taskbar icon)

Does anyone have any experience with some of those products on Windows 10?

Thanks!

I've used Paragon. I never had a problem with it. But like all these things: if these are mission critical files make sure they're not your only copy.
I don't think there is a single solution that is "safe". Save only inserting your Mac formatted drives into Macs.

I used Mac drive when I was into the Hackintosh thing. Always worked fine for me. Just copying files to windows isn’t a very high bar.
