Damn these cards are loud trying to keep them at 70c. Fan speed of 60% i can barely bare. I would like to get 2 accelero xtreme 7970 combos for my cards. Is it feasable? anyone done it? if so please post pics. Thx :)

also, could i use thermal tape instead of the goup glue they give you for the sinks?

In regards to the thermal tape question: Most people recommend it actually, apparently the included glue isnt good at all, sinks falling off constantly

DOH! I dont think it will fit! It's going to hit my power supply :( Any ideas?

Here's what I had to do to get temps down. I'm going to come up with something more permanent, but it reduces temps from 83 to 76 when OC. That may not sound like much, but that's reduces fan speed from 80% to 50%, which makes the difference between playable and not playable.

Looks like you could mount the PSU vertically in front of the cards and use an extension.

Is this your setup? how much quieter was it? THX For the pics!!

I think i will grab 2 tomorrow. It's just soo damn loud and the graphics start gettng choppy after 15min at 75c :(

I would use thermal tape. I have a whole roll of it from 3m :D I will never run out of it.
