Hi, i have just ordered a blue LCD Aquaero from germany and i have a few questions here:

1. i am thinking of running dual loop, with 2 x 12.3 radiator, how many flow meter will aquaero support?

2. since i have 2x 12.3 rad, i am gonna have at least 6x12cm fans, (12v x 0.33A per fan)can i connect 2 fans on each channel of the aquaero? i dun wanna try it unless i am sure because i am afraid i might built the voltage regulator of the aquaero as this had happened to my TT hardcano13.... :(

Congrats on your new Aquaero. :D

2 flowmeters.

IIRC it is 10 watts per channel and 30 watts maximum in total. However, you will need to use the #4 fan header as a flowmeter header and change it in the Aquasuite. So you get three fan headers to play with. If you want to run more than one fan per channel that is okay, but make sure you run the fans in parallel and only use one RPM feedback wire off one fan to control all the fans on that fan header loop.

what does IIRC stand for?

so, if i have 2 flow meter, tha means i will have to use 2 of the fan control header for the 2 flow meter? that leaves me only 2 header to use only :confused:

also, i have just checked the AC website and it said its only 5W per channel, or was i wrong? :eek: i really dun wanna burn my aquaero just because i have plugged too many fans on it as it will be a pain in the ass to send it back to germany to get it repaired :mad:

No, teh first flowmeter has its own connector while the second one is using a fan header. That means you can use 3 fan headers ;)

The Aquaero 4.00 can take 10W on each channel and max. 30W combined (all 4 channels).
The old Aquaero 3.07 had a recommend limit of 5W...

your information is very helpful, so i will still have 3 fan headers to use :)

i have just ordered aquero, does that means the one i am gonna get is a 4.0 version? it is good that it can handle 10W per channel which means i will only need to use 2 channels for my 2 x12.3 rad (3 fans per channel)

Yes, you should get a 4.00.

If you receive a 3.07 it must have a large film of dust :D

it trade already said its ver 4, iam the one who is ordering the aquaero for the thread starter

What's the difference betweent the VFD and the OLE? I emailed IT Trade and they said they do not have the OLE in stock because of some defects. The OLE is cheaper than the VFD.

How do we know if its VFD or OLE.....I cant tell on mine. :(

OLED is very apparent because it comes in any color you want... as long as it's green.

IOW, OLED version is all green.

EDIT: There isn't an OLE version because they were scared of the MS lawsuits.

Actually I think I should stop trying to be funny in this thread.

nvm :)

VFD with blue foil (without foil a very bright turquoise):

OLED (Aquaero has always green):

The OLED has a a half-life of around 10.000 hours. That mean the display will be loss 50% of brightness after 10.000 horus. But it is not that dramatic because OLEDs have a very high contrast.

The VFD should stay alive for around 80.00 to 100.000 horus. A "little bit" more :rolleyes:

Heh...

Only true nerds would find this funny, but I guess this is the best place as any to try your new found Stand-up (well Post-Up) skills.

on this side of the ocean:

10.000 -> ten
10,000 -> ten thousand
10000 -> ten thousand.

i'm PRETTY sure that the aquaero last for more than ten hours, but just for clairity....... :D

i realized that most people are buying the VFD version instead of the LCD version, it the LCD version really that bad?

if i am lucky enough to find a cheap VFD panel somewhere (same size as the LCD of aquaero), will i be able to replace it with the one on the aquaero? :confused:

In Germany at least the . and , are reversed, Example 10,000.00 here is 10.000,00 there.

DEAUTCHLAND UBER ALLES!!!

Dillusion, if it looks like this...

aquaero04.jpg

...it is a normal LCD version.

wengchiochan, the VFD has the nice advantage that you can change the color with foils in nearly any way. Changing the display would only work if it has the same controller.

i've run into it a few times reading french documents, and my finnish family writes numbers that way as well.

the germans are no allies of mine at the moment, i'm in the middle of a paper on "der solnhofen lagerstatte"..............learning terms like "plattenkalk" "flinz" "faul" and many others to grind my way through partially/poorly translated documents regarding the deposition, lithology and fossil fauna of a bavarian limestone formation is NOT my idea of a good time.
