So I am finaly getting tired of the 9 cooling fans sounding like a jet engine taking off that is my cooling solution for now. Looking at going water but stil have that issue with water and electronics. Although over the years it would seem that this risk has been greatly reduced. I have seen that mos tpeople do not recommend wc for computers left on unattended for any length of time and I was wondering why this is? It isnt uncommon for me to be away from my PC for 2 weeks at a time and I leave it on 24/7.

Also after browsing through the WC gallery I see most everyone is using large clear flex hoses. The idea occured to me to use -8 or -6 steel flex hose used in automotive applications for the hoses to give a more cleaner look. I can then use many different fitting adaptors that have anywhere from 15-90 degree bends to make final connections and eliminate most of the hose snakes I see in most WC cases. Has anyone else thought of or tried this approach?

I don't have the link handy though. Someone will come up with it, though. It's that green/clear/metal one. Very nice looking. Wish I remembered the link :p
 
That shows him using shower hose for hi electrical wire covering. Looks damn good tho. Still need to know why nobody recommends leaving a water setup unattended for any length of time?

Also am looking at this kit to start things off. Is this a good kit or is it lacking anything I need to know about?
 
Who recommends not leaving a water rig alone? If your set up makes it through the first week without blowing up or leaking, it's unlikely to the next week or the week you're gone.

I've three water cooled systems that never get shut off. Never had a problem leaving 'em running while out of town. If you have a closed system (avoiding evaporation woes) with anti-corrosives and biocides, it can be highly reliable.
 
Instead of buying it form frozen cpu you should get it straight from Dangerden

Cut out the middle man and save yourself 50+ bucks (quite a markup)
 
I didnt understand why I kept reading posts that suggested shutting the WC PC down when away for long periods of time. I figured if I passed a week long leak test I would be set. I do plan on putting in the fail-safes like low water shutdown and such but I see no real reason for shutting the PC down whenever I am not there.

Also thanx for the DD links. Is there a significant difference between the RBX and Maze series of blocks?
 
The RBX will beat the Maze4 in most rigs. The two outlets on the RBX are handy as a splitter if you're using GPU and NB blocks, or the two oulets can be a pain if you need to Y back to one tube.

The Maze4 works great with pelts (in case in ever want to add one) and is very unrestrictive (good for a system with tons of blocks, or a pump that dosn't produce much head).
