A question for those who know :)

If i flash to and XT to get 16 pipes, when i flash back to my normal bios won't that activate the lock again and give me 12 pipes?

I ask because my RAM only goes to 520 so i don't want to boot to windows at XT speeds and kill the RAM
 
I dont think it will take away the extra 4 pipelines if you flash back to the stock X800 BIOS.

to go back to the 12 pipelines, you would need to do something like whats explained here at the very bottom of the page.

I only have a normal Pro

On another note i get about 11k in 3dMark03 with A64 3400+ and card @ 530/520, how does that compare ?
 
so if your x800 Pro is not the VIVO edition then you shouldnt even bother with the whole flashing thing cuz its not gonna work.

I think the non VIVO cards are the ones that have the laser cut thing under the GPU cooler which means you'd have to go through all the hassle(s) of connecting the two bridges which in my opinion would be more trouble than what it'd be worth.
 
i've already painted the points with conductive pen when i put a artic silencer on the card,
