I have been reading and reading and everything points to the Samsung s27a950d.

1. How bad is the glossy screen? I literally sit right next to a window. I can rearrange my set up (not really an issue at all) but will it still be an issue? This room is pretty small and has an overhead light. The gloss is really my only/biggest concern. http://imageshack.us/f/252/imag0033l.jpg/

2. Is it possible to use the s27a750d @ 120hz with an nvidia card? If I bought some sort of adapter would it work? I really hate the 950d stand.

3. It seems like this is the only viable 27" 120hz right? I read the asus vg278h backlight issues and they arent even selling that in the US right now.
 
Glare would definitely be an issue if you didn't have the blinds down. I set about 3-4 ft away from a window but I have wooden type blinds which keep much more light out than regular vinyl/plastic. White isn't the best color to completely diminish all light coming in.

You will definitely notice it unless you get some better blinds or move your setup around.
 
I think you will be alright. I get some glare from windows directly facing the monitor, but 15' away, and only lightly veiled (sheers), it is only bad in late morning when they get direct sunlight. You window shouldn't reflect directly so should be good. I needed new blinds anyway, heh...
 
I have no doubt that an adapter will allow you to use this monitor with your card. The only issue would be the 120hz, which is only attainable by using the Display-port imput. If you used a Dvi to Display-port adapter it should work, the question would really be, active or passive adapter? Looking at your new furniture arrangement, glare will not be an issue. With that said, if you do get the monitor to work @ 120hz, you will love it. I recently purchased one of these myself a couple months ago. I'm not sure of you have seen it, but I did a review of this monitor on YouTube.
