About the price of the 3930k

Hi, could someone tell me how long it will take for the price of the 3970k to drop to as low as the price of the 3770k please?

Extreme price never will or has gone down just phased out by the new Extreme processor.
 
All of the above responses. Intel never drops prices, except when they have to realign their price points due to competition, which hasn't been necessary for quite some time.
 
The 980x and 990x are still selling for over $800: intel doesent drop prices during a products production unless they absolutely need to to push the units.

The lowest I've seen a 3930K was $499 Buy It Now.
 
This is why I decided to pick up a 3820 with the microcenter $229 deal (thanks to [H] forums for helping me since I'm nowhere close to a microcenter).
 
I got lucky with my 3930K for $450 NIB. Check your local ads. You'll be amazed what you can find and get.
