I see in the rules it says you need to have 10,000 points to trade. Does that mean to be the one making the post about what you have to trade? Or: no one with less than 10,000 poitns can post in that forum, period?
 
I think you can post but to trade with the [H]orde you have to have 10k points. It is just set up so people can't come in start folding to get something. Trying to keep parts for folding and not for people looking for free stuff

 
If you are going to receive a free part from a [H]orde member, you must have atleast 10,000 points. This is for the reasons mentioned by Duster.

So i am guessing you can buy if you have less than 10,000 points? Or it works there too b/c I see some of the prices are heavily discounted. Just clarification for the new guys, not like I am on the border or anything. :p

I would like to keep it as a general rule, really...if someone wants to sell to the [H]orde however, they may not be a folder at all, but may just want to help out. That would be acceptable.

But, to Trade or buy, from/with [H]orde members, you need to have 10,000 points.

Does that make sense?

What if.....gotta love what ifs......someone borged a bunch of computers that produce 2-3k ppd just to get a good deal, then turn off f@h. Do we get to pubicly humiliate them or thank them for the quick 10k pts and say "thank you, drive through"?

My hope is that if you are going to put that much effort into it, that maybe you will stick around.

Does the point limit need to be higher? I made it 10K so as not to make any members with 1 boxen but have been here for 6 months miss out.
 
I vote you keep things somewhat "looser", or maybe activly Moosed (moose/mod monitored).

We all need safe guards in there, but my hopes it the trolls ect will be almost non existant and everything will be happy, happy.

If a user is activly posting helping others and just has 1/2 boxen folding, part of the whole point if this is to help them get more boxen.

Then again this is the internet, maybe 1,000,000,000 points should be required.. :eek:

Or maybe limit it by the amount of points they have. 10k points 1 free deal or trade. X more points another deal or trade. Incourage them to get the parts and put them to use and then work for the next level so they can get more parts. Its what I have been doing, took advantage of a few deals. Got them up and producing and now looking around for some more to increase my production.

Seams like a lot of administrative work. Making sure everything checks out etc. I think the flat 10k works. I do know that some of the new computers could get that in 20 days... It's a pretty good number in the end. I think the DC FS/FT forum will work out nicely.

 
Yeah, I agree with the current 10k threshold. I was just pointing out a alternate plan to possibly incourage members to increase production with parts that others do not want.

 
I think "Moose" is beginning to mean to many things. Maybe it should be put into the filter, so it can be censored out. :confused:

It's amazing how we can twist words.

Oh I have hiked on Isle Royale. It's an island in Lake Superior that you have to take a boat out to. It's a National Park all you do there is hike and camp. 2 summers ago I saw 12 moose over a 1 weeks time. Bunch of them in the woods, a few in the bogs, and some in the water. It was pretty cool.
