It doesn't matter where you put RAM, it'll work. If you want it in dual channel, however, refer to your motherboard manual (durr). Some boards are alternate slots/colours, others are adjacent slots/sam

The US still uses Imperial measurements, if I'm correct. Everybody else is metric.

Except the British.

Besides, all rulers have metric and Imperial measurements...

lol, this is where i have you, My 12' Ruler (construction type) is only imperial :( lol but its fine

if i want any chance of putting the ram in the opposite slot, i have to get a new ram with NO heatsink, but fuck that, i like my heatsinks, they look cooler, lol

here is a pictureo f the fan over the MOBo... already installed...

slot 1 and 2 are kinda not an option with the zalman, lol.

this is what it says in my gigabyte booklet about dualchannel..

Dual Channel Memory Config table
_________DDRII_1__DDRII_2__DDRII_3__DDRII_4
2modules | ds/ss | ds/ss | -- | -- |
2modules | -- -- ds/ss ds/ss

DS = Dual Sided SS = Single Sided.

so what it says "2 modules of same preferance must be installed in the same color sockets" so yes, i have dual Channel im not sure if dual channel is good though, but i have it lol i dont have much of a choice.

Dual channel is what you should be shooting for, at it appears what you have achieved.

Good luck.

PS
Thank you for he big picture. I hate trying to see detail on these low resolution pictures people sometimes post.

What motherboard is that? It doesn't look like any of the G33 or G31 mobo's that Gigabyte makes.

btw i own that lanbox, let me suggest you replace your stock rear fans if you feel you have any heat issues at all

haha i like big pictures, and for the question, its the mATX Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2h

i have yet to do temp tests, so thanks for the advice in advance, i'll take into consideration.

for a shitty note, i live in hawaii, so it'll have to get used to a high temp, lol

I too recommend the replacement of the rear fans. I don't have any issues with heat in mine, but i feel like they should be replaced anyways just because they don't really seem to move much air. Only good thing I can say about them is that they're quiet (or at least something else in my case is louder than them). I have a 60mm Vantec in the third fan slot above the PCI cards and it's not quite silent, but it does seem to move a lot more air than the stock 60mm fans do.

those are his 13.335cm bays.

jeez... obviously

*smacks head* of fucken course!, does it say that on the box? brb checking..
....
well in english, it only says 5.25, but in spanish.. its in CMs alright, but wtf. por que... por que..
