For the past month i have noticed every few days that my hard drive will have 0.1G more free space than the days before. Is there a reason for that?
Like, it went like this:

Free space= 23.8G after a few days
Free space= 23.9G few days later
Free space= 24.0G more days later.

Not its at 24.3G of free space as days went by. Is there such a thing as volatile memory?? Or do some temp info just deletes itself after a certain amount of time o_O??

I tested the drive and it all says green light for it. Soi was just curious about what is going on. :)

strange, dude! Never heard of that problem... I wouldn't worry about it untill it says that you have more memory than what you actually have.. lol :)

24.8 GB free now....wuts going on??? system restore can do it right? but can it do a whole GB ?? and where what is been eliminated if that is the case ?

It is quite bizarre...how large of a hard drive do you have in total?

From a "nothing to be scared about" standpoint, there could be a marked decline in the page file, automatic deletion of old system restore points, automatic deletion of old temp files, among other similarly benign but unusual things.

I would recommend running a report out of a program like WinDirStat (http://windirstat.sourceforge.net/) to show, by folder and sub-folder, the current size of files on disk. Save the report, and run the report again in a few days if there's another change. Comparing the two could help at least pinpoint what is disappearing, and maybe if it is something to be worried about.

Good luck...

hey, that will hopefully help, i keep everyone here updated just in case anybody runs into the same "problem" if its even that ...

HD is 120 GB btw
