I'll bite, but there's not much to bite on....

Can the machines browse each other's shares? And you can read from both?

XP workgroup share permissions default to read only. You need to go into the share and set permissions for write access.

how do i set it?
i cant c any security tab.... when i switch on the sharing

Do you have a checkbox for "Allow Network users to change my files"? If so, check it. If not, under the everyone name in the Security tab, check the box beside "Full Control"

Negative, ghostrider.

There's your problem. Make sure the administrator accounts have the same password, and it is best for them both to be on the same workgroup.

ninjaedit: You have to set a password, it cannot be blank.

i just cut and pasted this from reply i made on the same topic a couple weeks ago. you can try this if you still cant get it to work.

ntrights +r SeNetworkLogonRight -u Guest (then press enter)
ntrights -r SeDenyNetworkLogonRight -u Guest (then press enter)

what the program does?

its a resource kit from MS, just install it, you are mainly installing it so you can use the ntrights program but it fixes the issue you are having most of the time.

Yes, great program; I used it a while back but I had forgotten about it.
