I'm looking to get the abit KV8 MAX3 motherboard. I have an alpha pal 8045 HSF. I noticed in the review of the motherboard that the holes are filled in where the HSF needs to screw into. I wanted to know if you had to get an adapter or if there is a way to open the 4 holes needed to secure the HSF to the MB.

where'd you see this?? I have a kv8max3 and i didn't have the holes closed. I am not familiar with the HSF your using, but if it fits an Athlon 64, then it should fit on this board.
