Abit IS7 flash to BIOS #20

I have tried flashing twice in my day and neither time has been successful for the same reason:
After the flash, my BIOS does not recognize any of my Hard drive partitions.

I have tried flashing to version #20 and to a version from a few months back.

I was able to rescue my system by flashing back to the default BIOS (6/10/2003 version #13) and then using Roxio Go-Back because the flash back still didn't work

Anyway what is going on here? Why won't it recognize ANY of my partitions??

My IDE/SATA set up
C: (Raptor SATA on SATA 0 IDE 3)
D: (WD SATA on SATA 1 IDE 4)
E: (IDE 1)
F: (PCI Controller card IDE)

I used enhanced mode and it works fine now (with default BIOS).

I'd like to use the newest BIOS version to have it accurately output my CPU temperatures.

Any help?

I tried flashing again in a different environment.

I only had my Boot Drive in, not any of my other drives. I flash and I get the "INSERT BOOT DRIVE" error. So obviously new BIOS has a problem with my boot drive and/or OS.

Then I flash back and everything is fine.

I then replug in all my other HD's.

I used to keep up with the BIOS updates on my IS7 too - but unless theres some issue that pertains to you you dont really HAVE to update it...

I know i know this is not the forum to say something like that cuz all us geeks want the latest stuff and what not haha but you know what they say - if it aint broke....

Well the temperature calibrator is broke, so I'd like to fix it. Apparently, it can be 5 - 10 C off (I read). I can't say that for sure because I have nothing to compare it with.

All my heat sink and fan information is in my signature, and my CPU is 49C according to MBM5's average.

with what you are running and a temp of CPU is 49C sounds pretty normal i wouldn't worrie about it at all
