I currently have an Abit IP35 Pro mobo that I flashed to B18 so I could run 64bit VM's. It was working fine for a while but now when I try to power on the VM's I get the binary error and the VM is unable to load. I can only load 32bit VM's. I cant seem to figure out why it all of a sudden stopped working.

My current processor is a Q6600 and I like to stay away from upgrading to an i3/5/7 for now but still be able to fire up a VM when I want to play around with it.

I remember someone upgrading their Abit to Gigabyte and it worked for them but for the life of me I cannot find that thread.

I used to have the IP35 Pro before I bought my current board, I loved the Abit but it had issues for me right out of the box! A shame since it was pretty pricey and quite the looker.

I will vouch for the Gigabyte EP45 UD3R (or UD3P) as being a solid pick if you can find one.
I'm sure there are a few others that will work well for you but this has been the most stable system I've dealt with.

It also runs this Q6600 like a champ at 9x400 at 1.31v :D
