Abit IP35 Pro problem w/ second HD

I am having problems using a secondary Hard Drive with this motherboard. When I first installed it worked for about 2 days then its gone, dissapear. I pulled the sata cable and pluged it into another slot, the system found it and about the same 1 or 2 days dissapeared again. For a minute I thought it was maybe my secondary HD but its doing the same thing on another HD I am trying out. Whats can caused this? Any help you guys can provide will be helpful. THanks
