Abit-Flash menu updating issues!!

I have an abit as8 ( made fore p4 ht) with an lga775 chipset. Flash menu is my bios updater. My comp is reading very large temps (and they change by a large amount really quickly). This is not a cooling question i have that taken under control. I know my cpu is not overheating, at least not by those temps. My freind said i should update my bios and the temps will read more accurately. ( He tried it and it worked for him).

...Anways, i cant update my bios because it says my flash menu is too old (1.34). But when i update it to 1.36, it still says it is version 1.34 wich is over a year old!!! I really need to update my bios, because obviously it is healthy and it could help.

Is 1.36 the latest flash menu, if so why is my menu reaidng my version as 1.34 ,and lastly how can i update my bios (wihtout downloading it, becuase i already downloaded the latest version i have seen) using th eup to date flash menu?

Ps: the drivers are included with the bios

Uninstall FlashMenu then install the new version, I had this problem with my IS7.
