ok, i cant doi anything over 287 htt on 2 gigs of ram, yet , i have 1 gig, tons om lovin, 2.8, buut i need 2 gigs, look at my name lol,



what should i do, i mean am2 is coming out soon, should i go for a opty, or go for a sandy, or even save for am2


i messed with the divider, and i know the board can go higher
 
Depends, on what you're running now and how much you want a dual core. I'd go for a cheap one anyways like an opty 165 and take my chances, but since you can't get over 287 u might wanna invest in an x2 3800+ or spend the extra bucks for an opty 170, because it sounds like you're going to need that extra multiplier.
