AACS DRM Cracked?

There are claims that AACS has been cracked and that it is possible to dump both Blu-ray and HD DVD movies directly to your hard drive. Engadget has tested the claims but hasn’t had any luck getting the movies to play.

Just feed the small utility a crypto key (it comes bundled with keys for a few popular HD DVD titles, with the promise of more on the way), and it'll dump the video right off the disc onto your hard drive, supposedly playable in any HD DVD compatible player.

now they just need to break that HDMI stupidity and we are set. :D
 
I just looked at the source code that the author posted.


Mind you there isn't anything extra hard in what he did the program itself does not find out the keys, you still need to get the keys.

I don't know how he got the keys for movies like FMJ and the others he had, but until everyone can find out the keys by just putting in the HD-DVD I will say it is not fully cracked.
