I always keep my my AA and AF on even when i am not playing a game. doesnt this make the card any hotter or put it under any load when im not in a game? or should i always turn it off when im not playing a game?
 
You do realize that AA/AF are only enabled in 3D mode... Not 2D :p We use font smoothing to clear the jaggies in text, not AA ;)
