Hi All,

I know that I have asked this question many many times and beat it to death but here it goes.....I am looking into upgrading my Asus A8V Deluxe system currently it is a 3200+ with 2gigs of Patriot low latency RAM, a 74 gig Raptor as my boot drive and it has a Radeon X800PRO 256 meg video card in it...I absolutly can't afford to build CD2 machine at this time (just had to buy a new car) I saw newegg just dropped the prices on the socket 939 dual core CPU's....so I am thinking about upgrading to either the Opteron 180 or the 185...the 180 is $200 and the 185 is $250 is the extra $50 worth it for the faster CPU ???

Keep in mind the A8V is horrible at overclocking !!!!

Thanks in advance....SHKJ

See sig. And no, the A8V Deluxe is fine at overclocking as long as the AGP/PCI lock is enabled. ;)

Get the cheapest one and overclock. Use dividers, lock the PCI bus and you should be fine.
