A8R32 setting wrong RAM speed?

Hey there,

I just bought a new Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe board (flashed to latest bios). I have 2x512 sticks of PC-3200 ram running in a dual channel config.

I'm having a problem where the bios seems to auto set the speed to 166MHz.

I've tried manually setting to 200MHz but it doesn't seem to change. When I try running each stick individually it properly sets it to 200MHz :confused:

I don't understand why even after manually setting it doesn't change. My previous motherboard ran them in dual channel @ 200 MHz just fine. Any ideas?

I had a major adusting period to how this board works.

Take your time and read, read ,read on the forums. It would set the divider on mine at many different timings untill I manully set it at 200 and that solved it for me but it seems there are allot of weird things this board will do.

I personally hate the crap tref adjustments and other missing timing adjustments that I got spoiled with on the DFI's, but needed something allittle cooler and more reliable. I will give this board about another month and I will boot it on a BST forum. I am about 90% there, so I have my fingers crossed that one more BIOS rlease will have me booking along.

I guess I cant complain to bad. I have my Opty 146 running 2.96Ghz with my TCCD running 1:1, but I had it running 3.1 on my DFI.
