A8N32 Ram Question

Hi, im putting my new system together (in my sig) and need some help. the manual for my motherboard says that i should put ram in the first and second slots, but ive seen people's pics with the ram in the first and third slots (Blue ones). which one is correct? thanks
 
If running dual channel then use same color slots ie bule or black. Got 2 1g sticks in blue slots (dimm a1+b1) and working fine here.

Yeah it is a question of whether or not you want duel channel configuration. I would how ever suggest only istalling ONE ram chip at first untill you have setup the bios' ram timings and all that then install the second one in which ever configuration you want to use. Not that this is an issue with all the Asus A8N32 SLI boards but it is an issue some people are having and this seems to be the "fix" for it. So I would just do it, not to cause any undue handship for myself.
