Why can't you put it on the CPU?
According to Zalman, it'll fit but block one of the DIMM slots (look on their forum...I asked and they superimposed an outline of the 8000 onto the Asus board for me and posted the pic).
I was planning on getting that setup, but I'm hoping Asus addresses the DDR2 voltage problem (it only goes up to 1.9V and a lot of DDR2 memory needs 2-2.2V to run properly)-:
