I just formatted my HDD and had to re-install my LAN drivers for my motherboard but I seem to be having a lot of problems with that. There are 2 LAN ports on the back of the motherboard but when I install the drivers from the CD only 1 shows up. It will say Local Area Connection but no Local Area Connection like it used to prior to formatting. Each time I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers it changes. Now It's saying Local Area Connection 4 (4th time i've attempted to install drivers) :rolleyes:
I can't remember what I did differently or what I'm forgetting from the last time I installed them. Anyone with the same motherboard that might be able to help me with this problem? Thanks in advance :D
 
there are two ether ports -- the nvidia and the marvell. the nvidia one is on the bottom -- furthest away from the cpu.

afaicr, the nvidia port only came on after I installed the nvidia drivers from the cd, windows knew about the marvell lan (and d/l the drivers) once I was able to run Windows Update using the nvidia lan.

the name doesn't matter, it just makes a generic name "local area connection 1002", "wireless connection 85". you can rename those in your network control panel (I named mine Nvidia NIC and Marvell NIC -- original eh?)

oh another possibility is that you have the marvell lan turned off in your bios settings!
