A8n Deluxe Problem

is that the latest BIOS version for that board? I used to have an A8n Deluxe and I couldn't overclock for crap until I updated the BIOS to the newest one (at that time).
 
I'm running the current bios i think its 1805
I talked to a guy and he gave me this hole long list on what i have to do.
He said when i just up the core in down clocks my HT Bus
Now i can get it to 2.4ghz but puts my HT bus at like 500.

I had it on a gigabyte mobo and hit 2.7ghz on stock volts and my ht bus was around 1200 up from stock 1000.

I thought asus was easy to overclock than what the guy is telling me to do.

So now i'm getting lost with all of it, should just be able to up the core and everything just up with it.
