I just sold my last 7970 and i have to admit i thought I was going to miss it. The only PC game i play anymore is world of warcraft. I didnt even have to change my video settings, left everything on ultra (1920x1080) except shadow detail and it plays almost the same. my FPS hoovers around 39fps in town or AV bg, but 80FPS out solo questing.

system is completely at factory default settings too. Ive been sour about my a8-3870k purchase because i bought it at release for $139 and its been a dud overclocker :-( I am starting to think it may not be so bad after all.

Not as dramatic as your case, but I swapped out my 680 for a 560 and then forgot it was in there for like 3 weeks, heh.

I've also been gaming on my A10-4600M laptop, and it plays FC3 and Crysis on low/med settings at 1366 at a pleasant framerate, mostly.

Looking forward to building a Richland system, probably for a ZFS setup.

tbh i feel that the APU is underated and often you get flamed for suggesting that it offers decent gameplay

my A10 makes my i7 670GTX rig feel redundant and sometimes i forgot i even had it

See my laptop in sig, I also think the A8 is great! Game on it, and use it for a htpc on-the-go also. Definitely an underrated APU!
