My first time building with AMD.
A64 3200+
Abit KV8 Pro

Ive built a lot of intel, and i know that if you go over 1.7v on the cpu, you can fry the processor.

So whats the safe voltage limit when OCing an A64?

aiite thx...

I got a KV8 Pro as I stated earlier, and its got this whole uGuru automatic overclocking. Anyone have any experience with it? Would I be better off in BIOS doing it manually?

I've ran my 3000+ at 1.75v for nearly 10 months with no problems at all. I think it mainly comes down to how effective your cooling is. My 3200+ at 1.75v idles at around 35C and loads at 39-40C with water cooling while my 3000+ (now at 1.65v) and Alpha heatsink idle at 38C and load at 49C. So with a effective cooling solution I think that 1.7-1.75v is perfectly acceptable, if not then I'd stick to 1.6-1.65v. Besides, without extreme cooling, there is little overclocking to be gained with anything over 1.7v anyway.
