yea i love my 3000+...2.8 on air is incredible! and thats mobo limited!! The low multiplier of 9 is very restricting though.
How are they for video encoding? I want more encoding power!
I have a 939 Winchester 3000+, 1Gb DDR400 ram, Gigabyte GAK8NF-9 board, and an 80 gig Serial ata hard drive.
Encoding from .VOB dvd files to 718Kbs Divx-5 720x480 resolution, only runs at about 9-11Fps using nandub.
Sure, its screaming faster than my K7-500Mhz, but not fast enough.
I will be selling my current computer, monitor, wireless keyboard, and big loud speakers and amp for about $700... And In a year or so when im back from the military, I will be hunting for a new computer at newegg with some real cash. (maybe 2,000 if all goes as planned)

Hey people's, this is my first post on hardocp, i'm from ocau, but do you guys have a specific thread fro venice OC's?
Because they are excellent overlockers, my 3000+ does 2.7ghz with 1.5v on a freezer 64, and mine's only a week 19, weeks 17's are much better, some people are hitting 3ghz with 1.65v.
But i'm also having a problem with heat, according to my DFI board, i'm up at around 55C load (around 130F).
